Opening Prayer
Almighty God, you sent your only Son as the Word of life for our eyes to see and our ears to hear. Help us to believe with joy what the Scriptures proclaim, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I thank you, heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son,
that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger.
I ask you to keep me this day, also, from sin and every evil,
that my thoughts, words, and deeds may serve and please you.
Into your hands I commend my body and soul and all things.
Let your angel be with me,
that the evil one have no power over me. Amen
