Our on-site worship resumes this weekend, with limitations on how many can be in the building at once.
Worship Services (summer schedule) are:
Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday at 9:30 p.m.
We welcome you to join us for worship, but pre-registration is necessary. If you would like to register, please contact us by 5:00 pm on the Friday preceding worship, either by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling the office at 412-279-5868 and leaving a message. You should have the following details:
1. Which service you prefer (Saturday at 6:30 p.m. or Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
2. How many plan to attend
3. A contact phone # or email address.
If you register for a service that is filled, you may be contacted and given the opportunity to attend the other service, if there is room. If the slots are filled for worship, you will be contacted as well. If, as time goes on, the determination is made that another service time is necessary, one will be added. We want as many as possible to be able to worship safely!
If you cannot attend worship, please join us at the service times for a Facebook Live service http://www.facebook.com/ststephenpittsburgh.
We are eager to have you join us!
We will be closely adhering to guidelines that the Centers for Disease Control, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and other organizations have outlined for public gatherings. Specifically, these include:
- 25 people or fewer in the building at any time.
- Sanitizing immediately upon entering and leaving the building.
- The wearing of masks.
- Social distancing with at least six feet of space between people and family units.
We will also be taking the following additional measures:
- Singing in the worship service will be temporarily suspended.
- Holy Communion will be administered in such a way as to maintain social distancing.
These procedures are both to minimize the risk of the transmission of COVID-19 and also to give worshipers complete confidence that they know what to expect and what is expected of them when coming to church. We are responsible to and for each other, and we will remain so.

The Holy Communion is celebrated each Lord’s Day. We invite all who are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who commune in their home churches, and who believe in the real presence of Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine to participate in the Holy Communion. Holy Communion will be administered in such a way as to maintain social distance. Further details are available at worship.
Children of any age are welcome in worship. Activity bulletins and soft, quiet bags of religious objects, books, and coloring pages are available at the bookshelves by the stairs and may be returned after worship. Our nursery is currently suspended due to the continuing pandemic conditions.
