The Holy Communion on the Third Sunday of Easter, 10:30 a.m.
Today we hear Luke's account of the risen Jesus' appearance to the disciples. He interprets the Old Testament with reference to his death and resurrection, and commissions them as witnesses to his fulfillment of the Scriptures. Because of the testimony of the apostles, we celebrate today and take our place in the community of the Church which continues to witness to his risen life.

Sermon for Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024
'This day is not only our Victory Day, Liberation Day, Resurrection Day,
but also our Commissioning Day.
It is the day upon which the apostles,
and by extension we whom they baptized and taught,
received their marching orders,
to make this day’s greeting the central theme of life:
Alleluia! Christ is risen! (He is risen indeed! Alleluia!)
And this task is not enslavement but is liberation.'

Sermon for the First Sunday after Christmas, December 31, 2023
'Our readings from Scripture today will not help us
to
make more of our time or to recover lost time.
However,
they give us a different perspective on time.
And
perhaps even they give us a way forward –
for
the Scriptures today tell us of time fulfilled.'
